Matthew McConaughey wins Oscar for Dallas Buyers Club at the 86th Annual Oscar Awards Ceremony on Sunday, March 2, 2014. The Awards Show was hosted again by comedienne Ellen DeGeneres from Hollywood. Dallas Buyers Club was a big winner of the night, picking up several Oscar Awards. Since Matthew McConaughey wins Oscar for Lead in Dallas Buyers Club, and also co-star Jared Leto wins an Oscar for supporting actor in Dallas Buyers Club.
Dallas Buyers Club also picked up several Oscars for Make up, Hairstyle and Screen play at the 2014 Oscar Awards Ceremony.
It was a big year for Dallas Buyers Club, as both Matthew McConaughey and Jared Leto picked up Golden Globe Awards for their performances, and SAG awards, and now Oscar Awards.
Matthew McConaughey was up against some big named actors in the 2014 Oscars for best lead actor. His competition ranged from Leonardo DiCaprio for his role in Wolf of Wall Street, Christian Bale for his performance in American Hustle, and newcomer Chiwetel Ejofor in 12 Years A Slave. But Matthew McConaughey wins Oscar, making Dallas Buyers Club second only to Gravity for the Big Winner at the 2014 Oscar Awards.
