Katie Couric vs. Kim Kardashian

Does Katie Couric really need to apologize To Kim Kardashian?
God forbid anyone ever question someone’s fame…..really? Looks like a “reality star” got their feelings hurt because a legitimate television journalist questioned her “fame”. Sound absurd? Well it is and it’s not a shocker that involves a Kardashian.
Shouldn’t we be embarrassed as a society that we have such a thing as a “reality star”? So you can be famous by being real (or so denotes the name). But the truth is, everything is scripted, staged, and you can have a show about nothing, and every idiot on the planet will become obsessed with you and you can bamboozle people into thinking you have talent.
So onto the bitch fight and the case of a widespread disease that is sweeping the nation called “hurt-felioma”. Kim Kardashian got pissed that Katie Couric made a comment to In Touch Weekly, “I don’t understand—why are [the Kardashians] so famous?”
Kim got a bad case of hurt-felioma because Katie had recently sent Kim and her baby daddy Kanye West a baby gift congratulating them for the birth of their daughter North West. She feels that Katie’s gift was insincere because of Katie’s recent comments simply questioning everyone’s fascination with reality TV stardom and fame, specifically the Kardashian’s.
In response, a peeved Kardashian took her frustrations out on her twitter account with: “#IHateFakeMediaFriends #MayIHumblySuggestYouNotSendGiftsThenTalkShit.”
In a statement to E! News, Couric said she had meant no ill will.
“I was responding to a reporter’s question, and explaining how I’m intrigued by the public’s fascination with her family,” she said. “I didn’t mean to hurt her feelings. The gift is genuine, and I’m happy for Kim and Kanye.”
Ummm news flash Kim….Katie Couric is a news journalist who will at times, be asked her opinions regarding all issues. Are we all so “pussified” as a culture that we can’t make comments regarding the absurdity of reality TV? I think in the land of “Hollyweird”, anything goes and any publicity is good. Because we all know the minute they aren’t talking about you, then your shelf life is nearing expiration.
So I say, CHILL OUT KIM! Be happy for your millions and get over yourself! Gag
