As Jared Leto wins Oscar for best supporting actor, he started off his speech by thanking his mom, whom he said was a pregnant teen, high school drop out who made an incredible life for her sons. Also on hand during ceremony was his brother Shannon Leto, drummer for 30 Seconds to Mars. During his speech as Jared Leto wins Oscar, he also mentioned that the award was for all of the victims who died battling Aids, and for all of the people who are battling the disease and whom they love.
So far, Dallas Buyers Club has one on the board, as Jared Leto wins Oscar for Best Supporting actor for Rayon. Dallas Buyers Club is also nominated for Best Picture, and Matthew McConaughey is up for Best Lead Actor in Dallas Buyers Club.
Picking up a second Oscar, Dallas Buyers Club also picked up the Best Makeup and Hairstylist.
