Hulkamaniacs around the world are excited about today’s news of Hulk Hogan’s WWE return. The wrestling legend announced that he will be returning to the infamous wresting federation on February 24, 2014 for Monday Night Raw. Hogan will make his first WWE appearance in 7 years on USA Network’s “Raw at 8 pm.”
“Words cannot express how excited I am to be back in the WWE family,” Hogan said in a statement. “I only have one question for the WWE Universe: whatcha gonna do when Hulkamania runs wild as the host of ‘WrestleMania 30’?”
The legendary wrestler and actor parted ways with WWE 7 years ago, and got involved in a new Federation (TNA) with founder Dixie Carter. He departed from TNA in 2013, and now Hulk Hogan’s WWE return will be to celebrate 30 years of Wrestlemania.
WWE Chairman & CEO Vince McMahon commented on Hulk Hogan’s WWE Return: “It’s fitting to have him help us celebrate 30 years of WrestleMania and usher in a new era with the launch of WWE Network.”
Hogan’s considered wrestling royalty and became the WWE Champion in 1984 when he defeated The Iron Sheik at Madison Square Garden. He went on to win six WWE Championships. In addition to wrestling, Hulk Hogan has had a successful movie and TV career, although best known as the man in the yellow boots for his wrestling.
The big question on Hulk Hogan’s WWE return is whether or not he will actually be wrestling and stepping into the ring. Although some say Hogan’s not expected to be in the ring, it is speculating that he will “have an impact” on the action.
His last WWE appearance was in 2007, where he appeared at the 15th anniversary of “Raw.”
