Rapper Eminem’s 17-year-old daughter, Hailie Scott, is Chippewa Valley High School’s homecoming queen. She was crowned at her school’s football game Friday in Clinton Township, Mich. Her father, whose real name is Marshall Mathers III, and her mother, Mather’s ex-wife Kim Scott, were both reportedly in attendance at the event, though Mathers watched the festivities from inside the school, The Macomb Daily paper reported.
“Hailie came out with her mother Kim (Scott) when she was introduced with all the other kids but her father watched from inside the school because he didn’t want to cause a scene — he wanted Hailie to have her own moment,” a parent told the newspaper.
The student body and faculty voted her homecoming queen, though another parent told The Daily that it’s not necessarily because of her famous father. “I think all of the kids in the district have shown respect to their family and just let her live a normal life here out of the spotlight,” the parent said. “I think that speaks very highly of the Chippewa Valley community to not try to take advantage of their fame.”
