Donald Sterling Fired – Wasn’t Right

You might have heard the news about Los Angeles Clippers owner Donal Sterling fired from the NBA. To recap, Sterling was fined $2.5 million dollars and banned from all NBA activity for life. Sterling is a billionaire in his eighties. Here’s the background story if you haven’t heard.
Donald Sterling is associated with a much younger woman, V. Stiviano. Sure a married billionaire in his eighties is expected ti associate with a woman in their thirties. That’s now part of American culture.
Stiviano recently recorded a conversation she had with the Clippers owner. Donald Sterling was heard making remarks that were labeled as racist. He asked V. why she continued to disrespect him. His definition of disrespect was Stiviano taking and posting pictures with African Americans on Instagram. At the time of the recording it’s likely Sterling was referring to a picture of Magic Johnson.
Let’s Look At The Big Picture Of Donald Sterling Fired
On the recording Stiviano reminds Sterling she is “half black”. It is likely Donald Sterling would be jealous from any photo his female companion and any male. Isn’t she supposed to be faithful to him while he’s unfaithful to his wife?
Let’s fast forward. TMZ leaked the Donald Sterling audio. It immediately trended online. The outcome from the remarks deemed racist, was Donald Sterling fired and banned from the NBA.
It seems the result of Sterling’s ban from the NBA was a little too soon. The LA Clippers have a number of African American players. The result of Donald Sterling fired from the Clippers, provides Sterling with a convenient layer of protection. He won’t have to continually face the people he offended.
Essentially Donald Sterling fired the LA Clippers. After he pays his $2.5 million fine, he can walk away.
