Tampa, Florida — If you are a Brighthouse cable, phone, or internet user, you may experience an interruption with service, if you aren’t already. Recent reports of customers calling support have stated Brighthouse has acknowledged the outage of the cable and internet services.
The stability of cable service providers has been questioned substantially. This is icing on the cake. Time Warner is Brighthouse’s parent company. Comcast – the nation’s largest internet and cable provider has been in talks regarding the acquisition of Brighthouse’s parent company.
Is this a conspiracy to depreciate the value of Time Warner, so Comcast can purchase it at a much lower price? Probably not.
It is extremely inconvenient though. If you are having outages from Brighthouse service, ensure all equipment is up to date. Sysco recently formed a partnership with the Time Warner subsidiary. The update promises faster speed, with the requirement of up to date equipment.
Keeping that in mind, if your area is one that Brighthouse has labeled as “Experiencing an interruption in service”, time is the only software to restore service.
Keep in mind if you have a mobile device, it likely provides internet access. A number of mobile devices also allow the device to act as a wifi hotspot. Although data rates typically apply, this can act as a wireless internet connection for desktop, and notebook(laptop) computers as well.
What else will happen regarding Brighthouse Networks? What changes will the cable industry make?
