‘Adult Film Stars’ – More Recognizable Than World Leaders

December 22, 2013Adult Stars Are More Famous Than Politicians
The topic of idolizing celebrities is constantly being discussed. As a general rule, if your famous, you are viewed in a higher regard. Fame is now easier than ever to achieve. Some people can become famous by reaching a certain number of Twitter followers, or YouTube video views. The funny thing is that most famous people want to be left alone. The grass isn’t always greener, and no matter what people always want their circumstances to change.
Yes there is a certain amount of losing privacy “that comes with the territory”. Then there is the adult entertainment world. This world is known by many, but acknowledged by few. Of course there is also the real world, this is known by few, yet ignorantly acknowledged by many. By ignorant I mean without knowledge. People are even ignorant to the meaning of the word ignorant.
Jenna Jameson (pictured left) is probably more known than the person on the right. Continue reading to find out who the hot brunette is. Disturbingly Jenna is an idolized celebrity, idolized by a number of people. What her celebrity status is idolized for is uncertain.
For some reason it is accepted to know more about pop-culture than world culture. Yes pop-culture is part of world culture. I am referring to world culture on a larger scale. For instance both men and women alike are more likely to know who ‘Jenna Jameson’ is than Michele Bachmann. Myself included, I had to use Google to see if she spelled her name Michele or Michelle. Thanks to Google I know the spelling is that of the former. If you didn’t know, she is a Congresswoman. She is a Representative of Minnesota’s 6th district and the “hot brunette” in the picture above, to the right of ‘Jenna Jameson’. Michele Bachmann is also likely to be more well known than many other politicians or leaders than have even greater authoritative power because of her looks. Both women are likely to spend all of your money. Except Michele Bachmann has the ability to do it without dating her.
Bachman is probably one of the few US politicians that could star alongside Jenna J. Of course there is always a spot for Sarah Palin as well in that film. Of course Hillary Clinton will be the director. Michele Bachmann is also likely to be more annoying after some ‘adult time’, after all her job is to ramble on and talk in circles. Where as Jameson’s job is “adult time”.
Why is it that we are blind to the things and people that matter? Why is an adult film star more recognizable than your local representative. Take a minute and see if you know who your local representative is. You probably don’t, so go visit house.gov and enter your Zip Code in the top right of the page.
Let’s try the same exercise and place an adult film star next to a politician.
Who is the guy on the left? Now who is the guy on the right. I won’t even make you wait for this one. ‘Ron Jeremy‘ is pictured left, you have probably heard of him. If you haven’t yes he is involved in the alternative film industry. The man on the right is Stephen Harper. Stephen Harper is the Canadian Prime Minister. Yes Canada has a Prime Minister.
Why are we able to easily identify the people who quite frankly don’t matter? Ok someone watching a Jenna Jameson movie is more likely to experience a significantly higher feeling of satisfaction than the person watching Michele Bachmann on CSPAN. There is also the possibility, that the mood after watching that movie is likely to play a large role in the outcome of your day. It is really quite disturbing. But what say do we really have over what politicians do. If we tweet a celebrity enough they are more likely to listen. Why do we idolize celebrities and not politicians? Have you ever heard the term A-list politician?
